How to make kundli online free, step by step

- জন্ম তারিখ. Use the date on the birth certificate. An old kosthi may give the Bengali calendar date (বঙ্গাব্দ); convert it to the English date first. Also check whether a birth after midnight was recorded by the sunrise-to-sunrise day.
- জন্ম সময়. Enter it to the minute. The লগ্ন changes about every two hours, so a hospital record is better than memory.
- জন্ম স্থান. Pick from 5,900+ places with historical time zones, which matters for births before 1950 and in East Bengal. If your village is not listed, enter its latitude and longitude.

How to read a kundli in the North Indian style
Here is how to read a kundli drawn in the North Indian style, which the tool uses by default.
Houses are fixed, signs move
- The top centre diamond is always the প্রথম ভাব, the লগ্ন.
- Count the houses anticlockwise: the triangle to the upper left is the দ্বিতীয় ভাব, below it the তৃতীয়, the left diamond the চতুর্থ, and so on round to the দ্বাদশ ভাব at the upper right.
- The number in each house is the sign number from the table. An 8 in the top diamond means বৃশ্চিক লগ্ন; the next house carries 9, and the numbers rise anticlockwise.
- Planet letters in a house show which গ্রহ was there at birth; বক্রী marks a retrograde planet.
Copying it into a Bengali kosthi

Different panjikas can give slightly different timings, because they follow different calculation traditions; our tool uses Lahiri ayanamsa, the common setup in Indian panchangs, so small differences from a panjika-based kosthi are normal.
