What is Kaal Sarp dosh?

Rahu and Ketu always sit exactly opposite each other, dividing the chart into two halves. Why Kaal Sarp dosh happens is simple geometry: when all seven planets from the Sun to Saturn fall in one half, the chart is said to have Kaal Sarp.
