Today for you: daily muhurat from your kundli
The first tab looks at the current day through your own chart. Tara Bala counts today’s nakshatra from your birth star, and Chandra Bala counts today’s Moon sign from your natal Moon; both show the time they change. It lists what the day’s nakshatra and tithi are traditionally suited to, and what is customarily kept for another time. Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda and Gulika Kaal sit beside Abhijit muhurat, Brahma muhurta, sunrise and sunset, and the day and night Choghadiya table highlights the slot running now. You also see the Disha Shool, the direction traditionally avoided for travel that weekday, the day lord and the customary colour of the day. Timings are for the birth place, or for your current location if you ask. On test dates Rahu Kaal matched Drik Panchang to the minute. The tab is computer-generated from real calculations, so do not follow it blindly, neither fear it nor over-rejoice, and check important decisions with a qualified jyotishacharya.
The readings say what classical texts such as BPHS, Phaladeepika and Saravali traditionally associate with a placement. They are not predictions of events, and they never touch death, longevity or illness. Remedies are limited to free and harmless ones: navagraha beej mantras with count and day, charity, seva and simple practices. The report does not recommend gemstones, yantras or paid pujas. Readings are written in English and Hindi; names of signs, planets and nakshatras follow all 18 languages. The calculations were cross-checked against the Swiss Ephemeris and the open-source PyJHora. Shadbala, KP, Lal Kitab, varshphal and numerology are not part of it.
How to make kundli online, step by step
People ask how to make kundali online as if it were complicated. A kundali online by date of birth takes three inputs.
- Date of birth. Use the date on the birth certificate. For births just after midnight, check that the date was not recorded by the older sunrise-to-sunrise convention.
- Time of birth. Enter it to the minute if you can. Hospital records are usually more reliable than memory.
- Place of birth. Choose from 5,900+ places. Each one carries its historical time zone, which matters for older births and for births abroad. If your town is missing, type its latitude and longitude.

Reading the kundli chart
North Indian and South Indian style
In the North Indian chart the houses are fixed: the top centre diamond is always the first house (lagna), and the numbers written inside tell you which rashi falls there. In the South Indian chart the signs are fixed: Meen is always the top-left box, Mesh the next, and the lagna is marked with a line or the letters “La”. Both show the same sky. Some families call the drawing a kundli chakra; it is the same thing.
Pick the style your family’s pandit uses. Broadly, North Indian style is common across the Hindi belt, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Punjab, and South Indian style in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Lagna (D1) and Navamsa (D9)
The Lagna chart is the main birth chart. The Navamsa divides each sign into nine parts and is traditionally looked at for marriage and for the strength of planets. An astrologer asked to judge a kundli for marriage will nearly always want both, which is why both are here.

Rahu and Ketu are always shown opposite each other. The tool uses mean Rahu and Ketu, the convention most Indian panchangs follow.
A kundli example, line by line
A short kundli example helps more than theory. Suppose the summary line reads: Lagna Kanya, Rashi Vrishabh, Nakshatra Rohini pada 2.
- Lagna Kanya means Virgo was rising in the east at birth. In a North Indian chart the number 6 sits in the top diamond.
- Rashi Vrishabh means the Moon was in Taurus. This is the “rashi” that goes on a marriage biodata.
- Rohini pada 2 is the birth star and its quarter. The first letter of a traditional name, the Vimshottari dasha and the Ashtakoot score all start from here.
Because Rohini is ruled by the Moon, the dasha table for this kundali sample would start with the Moon mahadasha, and the “balance at birth” shows how many of the Moon’s 10 years were still left. The tool works this out from how far the Moon had travelled through the nakshatra. Other kundali examples follow the same pattern: find the lagna, find the Moon, read the star.
Vimshottari dasha table
Vimshottari is a 120-year cycle shared between nine lords in a fixed order: Ketu 7 years, Venus 20, Sun 6, Moon 10, Mars 7, Rahu 18, Jupiter 16, Saturn 19 and Mercury 17. The table lists the start and end date of each mahadasha and highlights the one running now. The Dasha tab of the detailed report goes further, to antardasha and pratyantar dasha dates, with a reading of the running period based on the houses its lord rules.
Dasha dates can differ by a few days between programs. A difference of one arc-minute in the Moon’s position can move a date by up to about nine days, and programs use slightly different ayanamsa values and year lengths. That is normal and not a sign that either chart is wrong.
Manglik, Kaal Sarp and Sade Sati checks
This is the kundli check most families ask about first.
- Manglik. Mars in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house is traditionally considered Manglik. The tool looks from the lagna, the Moon and Venus, notes the South Indian practice of adding the 2nd house, and lists commonly cited exceptions such as Mars in its own sign. The Manglik dosh page explains each rule.
- Kaal Sarp. Reported when all seven planets fall on one side of the Rahu-Ketu axis. It is not found in the classical texts, and many astrologers do not count the partial form.
- Sade Sati. Shown when Saturn is currently transiting the 12th, 1st or 2nd sign from your Moon.
None of these is a verdict on a person. They are flags that tradition treats as worth a closer look, and each has exceptions that astrologers weigh differently. A number or a label should not make or break a relationship.

If the chart is for a proposal, you will usually need two things: the horoscope lines on the biodata and a compatibility score.

- Kundli, Haryana. “Kundli in which state” has a simple answer: Haryana. Kundli Sonipat is a town on the Delhi-Haryana border along NH 44, known for the Kundli industrial area. For the Kundli location or road distances, a maps app is the right tool.
- Kundli font. Kundli is also a legacy Hindi typing font. A “kundli font download” or a “kundli to unicode converter” is for turning old Hindi documents typed in that font into standard Unicode text. We do not offer a font or a converter.

Accuracy, privacy and the limits of a chart
Positions were checked against the Swiss Ephemeris for births from 1900 to today: the Moon agrees within 5 arc-seconds and the lagna within 40 arc-seconds. If your chart here differs from one made elsewhere, the usual reasons are a different ayanamsa, true instead of mean Rahu, a different time zone for an old birth, or a birth time rounded to the nearest quarter hour.
Your date, time and place of birth are personal. The calculation happens on your device and the details are not uploaded, stored on a server or tied to an account.
A kundli describes where the planets were. What that means for a life is a question of faith and interpretation, and sincere astrologers disagree with each other.
